Americans for Farmers & Families is a coalition of growers, producers, suppliers, transporters, retailers and consumers initially formed to preserve the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA), and to work with President Trump to modernized an agreement fit for the 21st Century. Recognizing that NAFTA has promoted many economic benefits for American exporters and consumers, including support of over 43 million American food and agriculture related jobs, boosting the U.S. economy by $127 billion each year, and the export of over $44 billion of American-grown food and agricultural products, preserving NAFTA was mission critical for farmers and families across America.
With the recent announcement of the United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement (USMCA), we now look to Congress to ratify this important trade deal.
Our mission is to ensure the prudent and swift approval of the United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement (USMCA) by Congress and to be a resource for policymakers on the impact of agriculture throughout their district and state. Ratifying the USMCA is the best way to deliver a much-needed trade win to farmers, the agriculture industry and to rural families, and to help strengthen America’s export economy.
